AI is still a stochastic parrot
You can't fire your agent from the job. Accountability and guardrails lie with humans.
Stochastic systems assist at scale. They do not own outcomes. They cannot be fired, sued, or held to a pager the way an accountable human can.
Guardrails, evaluation, permissions, and escalation paths are human responsibilities—even when the agent executes most of the steps. Pretending otherwise is how organizations invent unowned failure modes.
Keep humans on the hook for decisions that matter. Use agents as force multipliers inside that accountability, not as a place to hide it.
