Build and operate
The best teams build what they operate and operate what they build.
Throwing systems over the wall creates two failures: builders who never feel runtime pain, and operators who cannot change the design.
Interleave the loops. The people who ship should feel the pager; the people who operate should have a path to change the code and the platform paths underneath.
Platform teams especially fail when they only provision and never own outcomes. Build-and-operate is how paved paths stay honest.
